General Fiction » Drumbeats of the Black ChristoI am Emmanuel, the strength firmly Established upon my divinity is The Melchisedec Crown, I am diadem With the White Crown of The Father . . .
Title: Drumbeats of the Black Christo In this traditional African Christian poetry, the author betrays the ignorance of all those who have misrepresented Africa and religion, especially Christianity in its true sense in Africa. To him, it is never true that Africans never knew Christ until the introduction of the Christian religion to Africa by Europeans. Through these poems, the author also attempts to reveal the Gospel of Jesus Christ through traditional African arts and culture without defying the spiritual establishment. By this attempt, he intends to make African Christians especially the youth to be more patriotic and proud of their African heritage. All these verses refer to a single song or epic called ‘Drumbeats Of The Black Christo’, but they deal with separate episodes and exist as distinct items. Other books:Cattle King for a Day
