Title: Ananse Tayron Gabriel is the ninth generation descendant of Kwaku Ananse, a wealthy African landowner who was a griot and a shaper-shifter. Every generation, a seed of Ananse is appointed to preserve the sacred wooden headdress that was said to have cursed Ananse and began a tribe of superhuman spider people called “Madu”. Tayron joins an experimental DNA human study to rid him of his “spider trait” and ends up becoming the target of a spider-creature very much like him.
